The Best Bagoong in Lingayen, Pangasinan

Lingayen Bagoong is a popular product and sellers often mention that their bagoong came from Lingayen Pangasinan to signify good taste. It is known as the best bagoong in the Philippines. Filipinos going abroad bring bagoong with them, and most airport staff can distinguish if it came from Lingayen just by the smell of the aroma.

Bagoong(fish paste) is used as a sauce in grilled seafoods(especially bangus or milkfish), seasoning in cooking(pinakbet), and dip for certain fruits(Mango). Bagoong is made from fermented fish(3-6 months process). Fish from the Lingayen Gulf are used for this(dilis, galunggong, caballas, terong and padas).
If you want best bagoong, PECE bagoong is the palce. Located at Castillo Street, brgy Maniboc, Linageyn, Pangasinan. It is DOST ( Department of Science and technology) product. If you want to buy wholesale or retail, just go to the warehouse or contact me at my contact form, Jast click HERE.

Tuesday

Beautiful Places of Lingayen, Pangasinan and Nearby Towns

The back of the Capitol Building has a nice view of the Lingayen Gulf. And they do not allow PUV's to travel down that area. It's a nice place, friendly people. If you happen to stop by Lingayen, try to visit a certain barangay that makes "bagoong" or shrimp paste. Barangay maniboc in Lingyen is the place. They’re making it in a more sanitized way than the bagoong you buy at Navotas, ew. Despite the smell, I found it interesting how those people make bagoong. The beaches are ok, less crowded than that of San Fabian's. Night life... not much. Dagupan City has a more lively nightlife. It's a four hour drive from Manila if you have a car, 5 hours by bus.
